How Does the Application Process Work?

  • Potential applicant checks that they are eligible to apply and completes the application form and sends it to Bournemouth 2026 Trust.

  • The Trust will consider the applications during the release dates

  • Initial eligibility check completed by Bournemouth 2026 Trust

  • Initial financial assessment carried out by Parity Trust

  • Applicants will be informed if their application has been approved

  • Applicants will pay £500 deposit to Bournemouth 2026 Trust to reserve home for 6 weeks

  • Applicants to apply for mortgage and undergo financial assessment

  • If mortgage approved in principle then applicants instruct a solicitor/conveyancer

  • An independent mortgage valuation is carried out by mortgage provider

  • Legal mortgage offer documents sent to applicants for signature

  • Applicants to arrange adequate life cover, contents insurance, etc.

  • Solicitor will liase with all parties to organise exchange of contracts

  • Direct debit arrangements for rent and service charge set up.

  • Completion - applicants are able to move into their new home
